REMC 2 Central Location

Traverse Bay Area Intermediate School District (TBAISD) houses one of Michigan's 22  Regional Educational Media Centers (REMC). REMC 2 Central services schools within 6 Intermediate School Districts covering 14 counties spread over 7,000 square miles of northwestern Michigan.

The Regional Educational Media Center Association of Michigan (REMCAM) is an organization committed to providing media and technology resources to Michiganís students and teachers.

Satellite centers are located at Wexford-Missaukee ISD 
(REMC 2 South) in Cadillac and Charlevoix-Emmet ISD 
(REMC 2 North) in Boyne City.

Streaming Video

REMC 2C coordinates a regional discount for (Discovery Streaming or Learn360) to the public school districts and public school academies. Private schools are eligible to purchase streaming video at the REMC Bid pricing. These resources provide teachers and students with access to over 5000 videos and other resources to support and enhance the curriculum.

Video Conferencing

TWICE - Two Way Interactive Conferencing in Education. The TWICE organization operates and maintains a vast library of video conferencing programs for K-16. REMC 2C (TBAISD) pays the TWICE membership fee for all of the Traverse Bay Area public schools. Members get discounts on purchasing many of the programs available in the TWICE catalog.

About the Bid

The Regional Educational Media Center (REMC) Statewide $AVE Project is a service of your Intermediate School District and the REMC Association of Michigan. This project is approved by the State Board of Education and partially funded by Section 81 of the State School Aid Act and Technology Literacy Grant Funds.
